Prior to her role as Business Administrator with NIORD, Janet Vindenes joined Norwegian Hull Club in 2022, specialising in documentation processes for Energy/Renewables there.
She holds a Master’s degree in applied geophysics from NTNU and, before joining The Club, she worked for several years at Vestenfjeldske Forsikringsrådgivning as a Broker assistant.
Before working with insurance, Janet worked as a geophysicist in the oil and gas industry for almost a decade - first at Electromagnetic Geoservices and later at Rocksource Geotech. At both firms, she focused on processing, analysing and integrating data from new geophysical technology, with data from more traditional geophysical methods, with the aim to improve the exploration process.
Janet says: “Renewable technology and infrastructure offshore globally will play a key role in meeting our increasing need for energy, in parallel with the green transition.
“To successfully develop this new offshore industry, risk analysis and investments being well protected are essential. NIORD will contribute to this, and collaboration and knowledge sharing will be important, which is exciting to be a part of.”
