At NIORD, we’re committed to transparency and knowledge sharing. To us, these are the most efficient ways to successfully develop the offshore renewables industry – we should all learn from each other and develop agreed products and services of a standardised quality. NIORD will contribute on the risk and insurance side – we aim to be a sparring partner for the industry! 
 
So, at Bergen Wind Academy, the idea is to gather industry representatives who are or will be involved with insurance of Offshore Wind Farms, either as a broker, developer, owner, contractor or underwriter. 
 
Once more, for two highly informative and social days, we will focus fully on the insurance of Offshore Wind Farms, digging down into the challenges often encountered during construction, installation and operation of floating designs.

’New challenges’

We first held Bergen Wind Academy in June 2023, with a ‘lite’ version held in London in November that same year. For 2024 and the academy’s second full instalment, there are new questions and challenges waiting to be explored as we look into the continuing saga of the fictional ‘ClubFloat’ wind farm project. And don’t worry if you didn’t attend last year – we’ll make sure there are brief recaps so that everyone is up to speed and gets the most from the two days. 
 
We hope you’ll join NIORD in Bergen, together with many of your peers from the offshore renewables world, to share, discuss and expand our insight into insurance challenges in the industry.
